Wefunder's marketplace limits founders' control over investor engagement, they can't fully access or manage interactions with potential investors as they can on dedicated campaign websites.

Designed a hybrid campaign builder that combining the current Wefunder form inputs with a visual editing, enhancing founders' control over investor engagement activities.

The launch checklist at the end of the building flow provides founders with a structured overview of required tasks and strongly recommended actions to prepare for a successful campaign launch. By clearly delineating mandatory steps from suggested ones and incorporating helpful UX writing, it guides users toward best practices that enhance launch outcomes.

User experience continuity
At the beginning of the project, we considered implementing inline editing to streamline the campaign building process. Inline editing would allow founders to make changes directly on the campaign page, providing a more immediate and interactive experience. However, we soon realized that this approach would require significant engineering effort to develop and integrate effectively.
Moreover, introducing inline editing could disrupt the continuity of the user experience that Wefunder's platform currently offers. The existing system relies on form inputs for collecting information, a method that users are already familiar with. Maintaining this consistency was important to ensure a smooth user journey and minimize any learning curve associated with new features.
By choosing to enhance the existing form-based inputs with additional visual editing capabilities, we were able to create a seamless and continuous user experience. This approach allowed us to leverage the familiarity of the current platform while providing founders with greater control over investor engagement activities. It also enabled us to deliver the solution more efficiently without overextending engineering resources.
